Substance Abuse and Eating Disorder Treatment

At Freedom Rings, we have the capability to treat people suffering from substance abuse who also exhibit symptoms of another debilitating problem - an eating disorder. What many people don't understand is that an eating disorder and an addiction to drugs or alcohol is a very common combination, as one disease can actually increase the development of the other.

When we treat a patient who is suffering from both, we find it most beneficial to treat the substance abuse problem first. This will require the patient to undergo a full detox and then enter rehabilitation. Once in rehab, the substance abuse and the eating disorder can be treated concurrently.
