Art therapy is an innovative and unique form of therapy that has proven to be extremely effective in assisting our patients deal with sexual trauma / abuse, as well as, identify other events from the past standing in the way of a full recovery from addiction. Working as a team, the art therapist shares the patient's treatment experience with their primary therapist to evaluate whether any changes need to be made to the patient's custom-tailored holistic addiction treatment plan.

Recreational therapy is about more than just having fun. The recreational therapist in our holistic addiction treatment center designs recreational activities with a clinical purpose in mind. Whether it is to build self-esteem, improve communication skills, learn team-building skills or improve your overall health, recreational therapy has proven to be a tremendous benefit in our patient's recovery. Freedom Rings at Lakeview is not a religious holistic addiction treatment center, although we completely support your religious preference. At your discretion, we either introduce you to spirituality or work towards enhancing your spiritual understanding. This is accomplished primarily through the practices of mediation, yoga, breathing methods and an understanding of the 12-Steps system of recovery as practiced in Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous.
